How the world works is a never-ending fascination of mine. I love how individuals, teams, companies, and partnerships allow humanity to accomplish more. I love scaling organizations from within by ensuring focus on the best opportunities and finding synergies between business needs and individual/team growth. TOGETHER we can do more.
This year, Snagajob needed to reduce its vendor spend by 20%. I created an approach that allowed anyone to be able to identify the best opportunities, not just my leads or me. With ALL of us contributing to the success of our group, we reduced spend by 49% in six months. It’s important to note that it wasn't just a cost-cutting initiative; we did this without raising the company’s exposure to risk or increasing any employee’s workload (time). We made both better. — I love celebrating people and their goals and matching those with business needs. It’s what I most look forward to each day, particularly celebrating wins.
— I challenge anyone to point out where I haven’t been (outwardly) calm under pressure. My kids lovingly(?) call me the "robot" because they never see me lose control.
—My whole career is defined by adapting to the environment to best solve a problem. I've taken on massive projects to alleviate pains across an organization, and I've coached leaders to do the same. I am equally comfortable in the weeds and at the high level (but prefer business, strategy, and leadership, where the outcomes are less predictable).
— Similarly, I believe if we don’t change, we can’t grow. Both individually, and as a business. I value individuals who challenge the status quo the most. What could we do better? The best ideas can come from anyone, regardless of their title.
