A few months into COVID, we knew coming out of the pandemic would bring new challenges. We had a success arm called ReadyHire, where Snagajob would run hiring events to ramp up employment for new locations quickly.  But scaling that offering to meet the pandemic-level rebound wasn't reasonable. Instead, we decided to build software that mirrored much of the process ReadyHire followed, enter Hiring Events.
Using our software, employers could create hiring events both in person, and online.  We just had to build it, quickly.
With most of the engineering department involved, the project was going to require tremendous amounts of coordination/communication.  The key was minimizing this as quickly as possible. It started with a minimum viable architecture (MVA).  Here, this meant the product did the absolute least possible so that we could connect each team's part together.
